It’s decorative and practical as the light serves as a nightlight that’s easily adjustable in intensity.The built in dimmer is a simple touch dimmer located below the opening of the housing the cat. It goes from a low soothing light to a bright light in 9 taps. (In the video I thought it was 8 but it’s 9). There is No remote control, however I gave it a rating of 5 stars ⭐️ because the dimmer works perfectly!One thing I found very surprising is that the cat is removable and when it’s placed in its bed it is held in place by a super magnet. This is convenient since the light is portable, so when it’s moved there is no fear of it falling out!This light also has a rechargeable battery so there is no cord that needs to be constantly plugged in, which makes it aesthetically convenient!Overall we are happy with this product..so much so I got a second one for myself!
